Thank you for your interest in a student enrolment at Hedland Senior High School.  We are an inclusive school that welcome and embrace new students.  Together in partnership with parents/carers, we make our students education a priority.

The Hedland Senior High School Year 6 Transition Coordinator and Year 7 Year Coordinator take a hands on approach during Term 4 to support Year 6 students’ transition into high school.

During Term 4, Year 6 students from across the six local primary schools spend a week at Hedland Senior High School where they get a taste of what high school will be like and talk to staff about transitioning into high school. Students also learn about school rules, uniform, class structure, the school canteen, sporting and extracurricular activities and after school tutoring and clubs. This is a fantastic opportunity for Year 6 students to ask questions and to learn about the year ahead.

Families wanting to enrol their children at Hedland Senior High School in 2018 who do not currently attend one of the cluster primary schools or community schools, can contact the school directly for an enrolment pack and more information on (08) 9172 8000. We would encourage all parents to submit these to Hedland Senior High School’s administration office before the end of the school year.

The Broome Senior High School Year 6 Transition Coordinator and Year 7 Leadership Team visit Broome primary schools and Kimberley community schools during Term 4 to support Year 6 students’ transition into high school.

During these visits, the BSHS Leadership Team talks to students about transitioning into high school and what life is like at BSHS as a Year 7 student. Students also learn about school rules, uniforms, class structure, the school canteen, sporting and extracurricular activities and after-school homework classes. This is a fantastic opportunity for Year 6 students to ask questions and to learn about the year ahead. Enrolment packs are delivered to the primary schools prior to these visits.
