Parent Workshops – Thursday, 22 June 2017

In response to parent feedback, Hedland SHS is proud to offer a number of workshops in areas of interest to our school community.

The parent workshops will be held at various times during the Parent/Teacher Interview Day on Thursday, 22nd June.

  • Connect – an important communication tool which is available online and devices; used by teachers, students and parents.  Presented by E-Schooling.
  • Our School and the Law – information on issues such as students behaviours, social media, mobile phones and how the police can assist, court and police processes and an update on crime in town and deployment of new police resources.  Presented by South Hedland Police.
  • Think U Know – a Parent/Caregivers Cyber Safety Session presented by South Hedland Police
  •  Year 10 Parent Information Session – for parents with Year 10 students transitioning into Year 11 in 2018.  It will cover the transition process, WACE requirements, education pathways and information about Year 10 Counselling.

For more information on these workshops, please refer to your email from the school for a full description and timetable for each workshop.  If you have not received your email, please contact the school on 9172 8000 or email Hedland.shs@education.wa.edu.au with your current email address and a copy will be forwarded.  Printed copies and how to book will also be provided with school reports.  If you do not have internet access, please come and see the Administration staff in the Hamilton Road office who will happily provide access to a computer.
