The Clontarf Foundation exists to improve the education, discipline, life skills, self-esteem and employment prospects of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men and by doing so equips them to participate meaningfully in society.’
Clontarf Director, Clint Ernst says:
The Hedland Clontarf Academy opened in Term 1 2019 and we have seen great support from the boys, their families, school staff and the community. We work every day with Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander boys from years 7-12, using sport and other engaging activities to help support student’s attendance and academic achievement.
Our main goal is to ensure all boys in our program come to school every day, successfully graduate year 12 and then move into meaningful employment after year 12.
We also have the privilege to then stay in the boy’s lives and continue to help them wherever we can.
If you would like further information regarding our program please do not hesitate to contact the Hedland Director, Clint Ernst on 0459 073 887.
