Hedland Senior High School is excited to offer a specialised pathway for Year 10 students who wish to pursue a career requiring skills in Engineering Metals Fabrication. This pathway will commence in 2017 in the Trade Training Centre.
The Trade Training Centre is an exclusive program which delivers high quality trade training and support to students wishing to pursue a career in the Metals Fabrication Industry. A Certificate II in Engineering (Metals Fabrication) and Certificate II in Rail and Infrastructure is delivered alongside Industry OSH Standards, through on the job training at structured work placements and off the job training in the Trade Training Centre to year 11 and 12 students. Throughout this program students will be able to work alongside Employers such as BHP Billiton, Fortescue Metals Group, Goodline, Orontide, Thyssenkrupp and Roy Hill which will increase the number of students successfully transitioning from the TTC to post – secondary qualifications and employment.
If you give your child permission to attend this fantastic program then please fill out the Application for Year 11 Trade Training Centre 2017 and return to the school before Friday 4th November 2016.
