Congratulations to the Hedland Senior High School Country Week squad for 2024. Students will depart on Saturday for the week long competition, representing HSHS in Touch Rugby, Girls Volleyball, Boys Volleyball, Boys Basketball, Girls Netball, Dance and Speech & Debating.

Year 7 Science
These year 7 students were conducting a physics experiment to show how a ball thrower acts as a lever and replicates how spear throwers make spears faster, more accurate and better hunting tools.

This Friday marks the anniversary of May 17th, 1990, when the World Health Organisation removed homosexuality from the Classification of Diseases. While we celebrate this milestone and other advancements in LGBTQIA+ equality, over two decades later, LGBTQIA+ communities still face discrimination.
The Commissioner for Children and Young People Regional Forum
Yesterday, Commissioner Jacqueline McGowan-Jones met with Hedland Senior High School’s Student Leadership Team in the Rise Up room. The purpose of this visit was to hold an open discussion with students about their right to have their voices heard on important matters that impact them.
