Dream Careers Camp

Last week, seven Follow the Dream students from Hedland Senior High School, in years 11 & 12 accompanied by Mr Terima, travelled to Perth to attend the annual Follow the Dream Careers Camp. The camp provided students with a valuable opportunity to explore a wide range of post-school pathways and career options through a series of engaging and informative experiences.

Throughout the week, students participated in activities at ECU Joondalup, engaged with over 40 stalls at the Polly Farmer Foundation Careers Expo, had a tour of BHP’s Perth Office, engaged in the Kedala Djinagniny (Day of Looking) at Curtin University, and a toured South Metropolitan TAFE Bentley. These experiences allowed students to gain firsthand insight into university study, vocational training, and employment opportunities across a variety of industries.

The excursion was a highly positive and rewarding experience, with students returning home better informed about the many pathways available to them after school.
