Follow the Dream Career Expo

Our Follow the Dream senior students recently joined over 500 other Follow the Dream students from across Australia at the Polly Farmer Careers Expo. The event provided wonderful exposure to diverse opportunities across traineeships, apprenticeships, TAFE, university and employment pathways, with a wide range of employers and providers in attendance.

It was incredibly empowering to hear key messages from Miss NAIDOC 2025, alongside inspiring keynote speakers who shared their passion for seeing young people thrive in education and employment, build awareness of current and future skills requirements, and explore their individual pathway interests.

Students also took part in the Curtin University Kedala Djinanginy immersion program, engaging in STEM and Aboriginal Studies activities, received personalised advice at the TAFE Deadly Careers Day, and explored future opportunities at BHP’s IROC.

This was a wonderful celebration of the strength of the Follow the Dream network. Well done to the selected students — you represented Hedland Senior High School exceptionally and have bright futures ahead!
